The Good News Centre is a Christian bookshop and Coffee House based in the historic town of Newent in Gloucestershire.

The Centre is comprised of an attractive Coffee House and an extensive Christian bookshop. It is a registered charity, directed and staffed by committed Christians representing different churches in the area.

In a world often dominated by bad news – our aim is to be a place where the emphasis is placed on Good News.

Important Announcement

As of Thursday 24th September 2020

Following the new Government guidelines ALL TABLES both inside and out will now need to be booked. Outside tables can be booked on the day.
We will now operate a table service. Please indicate your arrival to a staff member so that you can be seated.

Only customers that require take away service should go directly to the Coffee House Till.

It is our desire to provide you with good service, but please be patient with us as we adjust to these new systems.

Opening Hours

The Coffee House is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm each day for light refreshments (last orders 3.00pm). Upstairs seating is now available, please book in advance. The garden and patio areas are also available for use.

The Bookshop is open Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 4pm each day. We are still able to take and process orders by telephone and email.

We’re sorry that both the indoor and the outdoor children’s play areas are currently not available to be used.
